21st Annual Toy Run to The Children’s Hospital

This has become one of the most meaningful and gratifying events we participate in.
 

OUR PLAN
Meet: River Front Event Center Parking Lot - 2852 W Bowles Ave. Littleton (same as previous years)
Time: 7:30 - 8:00  Leaving at 8:00 AM
Lunch:  TBD
The Plan:  We will meet as a group at the River Front Event Center between 7:30 & 8:00 and leave for Aspen Grove Shopping Center PROMPTLY at 8:00 AM.  This will allow us to remain together at the shopping center and on the ride to Children's Hospital.  Registration for the event will be held at Aspen Grove...NO pre-registration!  Lunch will follow the event and the location will be announced later.
Toys:  In the past there has been a list distributed by the Hospital of toys they wish to receive.  We will post that list when it becomes available.  If you are unable to attend the event but would like to contribute a toy please contact Mike (303) 766-4482, he will be pulling the trailer FULL of toys and will be happy to add yours to the collection.

For more than two decades, the Rocky Mountain Harley Owners Group has sponsored The Toy Run to The Children's Hospital, an event that brings thousands of toys to the sick and injured children at The Children's Hospital of Denver.

This one-day event brings in so many toys that every child who stays at The Children's Hospital throughout the year is able to receive a gift donated by a participant in the Toy Run. Last year alone, the Rocky Mountain Harley Owners Group and other Toy Run participants donated so many toys that the toys had to be stored in a warehouse until the time that they were needed.

The 21st Annual Toy Run to The Children's Hospital will be held Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM with registration beginning at 8:30 AM. Please do not show up before 8:30 AM.

Like last year, the event will not be staged at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson. Instead, the Toy Run to Children's Hospital will be staged at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center at 7301 South Santa Fe Drive in Littleton.  This change has been made to accommodate the ever-growing number of people who wish to participate in this special event (in fact, the Toy Run has grown from approximately 500 people in 1999 to over 10,000 people in 2003 … more than a 2,000% increase in only five years!).

People who would like to participate in the ride to The Children's Hospital are asked to enter the Aspen Grove Shopping Center via its south entrance on Mineral Avenue rather than via its east entrance on Sante Fe Drive. This will allow road captains to properly stage all participants before the ride is scheduled to start.

Because so many sick and injured children look forward to this event, this ride will take place regardless of the weather. If it's too cold, snowy, or slick to ride your motorcycle, get in your car and come anyway!
